MY retainer IS NON-REFUNDABLE BUT IS IT TRANSFERRABLE?

YES! I collect retainers due to my limited availability and cancellations with a wait list. I understand that people get sick, injured and life just happens which is why I do allow retainers to be transferrable. However, the rescheduled session must be scheduled within 6 months from the original session date. If you cancel a session and reschedule after 6 months, your retainer will be forfeited and you will be required to pay an additional fee for a future session. Thank you so much for your understanding!

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO MY SESSION?

I want my client’s photos to reflect the best versions of themselves and what they’re comfortable in. These photos are going to last you a lifetime and I want you to love your photos several years from now instead of severely questioning your fashion choices!

Neutral, subtle colors are always safe, but don’t be afraid to incorporate some color as well! Olive green, navy/blues, black, gray, beige, cream, khaki, mauve/blush & purple all photograph really well. Patterns can be distracting, but - they can work in moderation. If you choose to wear patterns, go simple. Also important to keep in mind that colors can and will reflect onto your skin. Reds, orange, yellow and bright pinks especially reflect and make them harder to photograph in natural light.

I also always suggest starting with the girls outfits and trying to pick something that compliments on the boys side.

Still unsure? All my clients receive a complementary session guide upon booking that includes outfit help, location choices & more! I also have a client closet, be sure to ask me about it if you’re interested in a flowy, bump friendly dress!

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SCHEDULE NEWBORN PHOTOS?

Newborns cooperate best 5-10 days after birth. This is when they are most sleepy and allow us to position/change them without much of a fight. I don’t typically suggest booking a session after 4 weeks but please let me know if you are scheduled or have had a c-section. I like to give my c-section clients a little more time to heal before scheduling.

HOW ARE MY PHOTOS DELIVERED?

You will receive all of your photos in an online gallery, sent directly to your email, 1-2 weeks after your session (4-6 weeks for weddings). From there, you will be able to view, select favorites and download the photos as much as you’d like. You will also have the option to share your gallery with family and friends from the same link. These galleries won’t last forever, they will expire after 6 months so I highly recommend downloading them to a reliable outside source as soon as possible.

While taking a quick screenshot is a habit for most of us due to it’s ease and efficiency, please refrain from doing so in your galleries. Downloading the photos is best way to preserve the quality and eliminate a fuzzy photo being shared on social media, or even worse, printed!

where is the best place to print my photos?

I am happy to report that I have tested the waters and have a few suggestions for the best place to order prints! Mpix and Shutterfly are my top two choices for quality. They seem to print the most true to the edits and their prices are very comparable. Smallwood homes is an awesome and affordable place to get wooden canvas prints as well. They are a family owned business and I have never been disappointed, plus their shipping is fast which makes for a great gift! If you’re looking for somewhere local, my least favorite spots are Walmart and Walgreens. Their quality is subpar and you will often get a way different quality photos and the colors may be too vivid or too dull and not true to my edits. For photo books (boudoir especially) I highly recommend Artifact Uprising.

who is included in each Family and/or Newborn session?

At this time, I am no longer photographing families of more than 6. For all of my sessions, only immediate family members are included unless otherwise discussed.

Do you offer payment plans?

I offer monthly and customizable payment plans for clients at no additional cost for larger or bundled sessions. My prices are all inclusive which means the cost covers every little detail, plus the ability to download and print your photos as many times as you’d like without the hassle of paying per photo print. To establish a payment plan, a deposit and signed contract/payment plan agreement are required.

Do you have Props?

For my newborn sessions, I will bring swaddles but no additional props such as baskets, bowls, etc. I had a studio but have since started to phase that out and only take on lifestyle in-home sessions. I have a few basic outfits from Caden Lane as well that I can bring but if you have an specific idea in mind, lets chat about incorporating it! For all other sessions, my clients are responsible for bringing props, minus the occasional blanket I’ll throw in the back of my car beforehand.
